My name is Sofia, and I want to share how Jesus completely transformed my life.
If you’re wondering, “Does God really exist?”, my story is living proof that yes, He does — and when you seek Him with all your heart, He comes into your life and changes everything.
I grew up in a deeply broken family, where violence was part of daily life. There were constant shouting, slaps, even knives. My relationship with my brother was terrible — I was terrified every time I heard him walk into the room. He humiliated me, hit me, and made me feel worthless.
On top of that, there was an even deeper wound: as a little girl, I was abused by a relative. From that moment on, I saw myself as an object — full of shame, anger, and convinced that I had no value.
As I grew up, I tried to fill the emptiness inside me with what the world offers — parties, alcohol, drugs, wrong relationships. But the emptiness only grew bigger. I started hurting myself and believing that my life had no meaning.
But one day, something happened that changed everything.
I came home and saw my brother completely different. There was a new light in his eyes, peace on his face, and for the first time, he asked me: “How are you, Sofia?”
I couldn’t understand what was going on until he told me that he had met Jesus. He said that God had taken away all the hatred from his heart and filled it with love. Then, with tears in his eyes, he asked me to forgive him for everything he had done to me. And he said, “Sofia, if you seek Jesus, He will reveal Himself to you too.”
Those words felt like breathing after being underwater for too long. I ran to my room, fell to my knees, and prayed: “God, if You’re real, if You changed my brother, then show me who You are too.”
And God answered.
In that room, Jesus — the Way, the Truth, and the Life — came to meet me. In an instant, He set me free from every addiction and healed my mind and heart. I realized that I am loved, precious, and a daughter of God. From that day on, my life was never the same — I started to truly live.
Today, I have forgiven my brother, my family, and even the person who hurt me as a child. I love them and see them through the eyes of Christ, because Jesus taught me to forgive just as He forgave me.
Even at school, everyone noticed the change — the “rebellious Sofia” was gone. Now, I speak about a living God who, when sought sincerely, reveals Himself to anyone.
Many of my friends have begun to know the Lord, and some are experiencing the same transformation that God worked in me.
All the glory belongs to Jesus.
He is real, He is good, and He can change any life.
If you’re searching for hope or want to know more about Jesus, take a moment to pray and ask Him to reveal Himself to you — just as He did for me.
