Marriage is an institution that God has made. The marriage covenant is intended to reflect the love and relationship between Christ and His church. Ephesians 5:31-32 says beautifully what happened when a man and woman made the marriage covenant. “For this reason, a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.”
Happy Marriage
God’s will is for you to enjoy your marriage.
And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.Genesis 2:18 (KJV)
Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.Ephesians 5:33 (KJV)
The Importance of Marriage Covenant
When a man and woman say, “I do,” they are promising to each other before the Lord that they will stay together until death separates them. Matthew 19:4-6 Lord Jesus clearly taught what God expected when He said “Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.”
The marriage promise is the verbal expression of a lifelong commitment made in the mind and heart of a man and a woman. This promise is not made to be broken. In the end times, we are living in enemy’s agenda is to break that convent and destroy families. By destroying marriages, the enemy destroys the next generation and the destinies of the children.
This is the reason ICCR has couple’s meetings for married couples. And also mentoring meetings for younger couples to follow God’s precepts. We also stand in prayer and encourage the separated men and women to stand in that covenant till the end.
